Save Food: Sustained Food Preservation

Because science. Our post-harvest protocols and innovative packaging solutions mean your end consumer gets the highest quality, freshest produce with a lower carbon footprint. Here’s why.

We succeed in saving vast amounts of food waste yearly due to our expertise in:

  • Sanitation/disinfection
  • Temperature management at the field, packing house and during shipment
  • Modified atmosphere/modified humidity packaging

The key to sustained waste reduction is to integrate all of these elements in a systems approach, collaborating among the different supply chain players

The Advice You Need: Post-Harvest Professional Services

As part of our systems approach, Tetra Fruit offers expert post-harvest support and advice to ensure successful fresh produce trade transactions. We have professionals stationed in over 23 countries worldwide to assist growers, packers and shippers with consultation on post-harvest handling and logistics.

One of the most important lessons we learned very early in our several decades of MA/MH packaging experience is the importance of good post-harvest handling, in particular temperature management. Strict temperature management is the single most important factor for prolonging the shelf life of fruits, vegetables and herbs so that they reach their final destination as fresh as possible. We establish protocols that are realistic and maintainable over time. Some practices are simple to execute, requiring no more than one training session with employees, and other measures are more involved. We service you based on your needs.
